Five narrow agents. One matter record.
Each agent owns one hand-off in a personal-injury matter. They share a single record, so the intake facts reach the conflict check and the filing date reaches the billing review without anyone re-keying. Run one, or all five.
Intake agent
Turns a phone call into a structured PI record.
What it does
- Reads the web form, the intake call notes or a forwarded email and proposes one matter record
- Classifies the matter — auto accident, slip and fall, premises, wrongful death — and lists the facts that type needs
- Prompts staff for what's missing: incident date, police report, injuries, carrier, treating providers
- Detects duplicates and returning clients on name plus phone or email
- Routes the record to the right attorney the moment it's complete enough
What it never does
- Quotes a fee, predicts an outcome or tells the caller they have a case
- Converts a lead to a matter — a person does, and can override a missing fact with a note
Plugs into
Web form, phone notes, forwarded intake email
Conflict agent
Searches every party. Clears none of them.
What it does
- Matches the client and every named party — defendants, drivers, carriers, employers, treating providers — against your history
- Sorts hits into exact, fuzzy (nicknames, misspellings, maiden names) and no match
- Explains every hit: what matched, on which matter, in what role, when
- Queues the decision for a named reviewer and records who decided what
What it never does
- Clears a conflict. The button is a human's, always
- Lets a matter reach engaged status without a completed, human-approved check
Plugs into
The proposed matter record and your firm's closed and open matters
Deadline agent
Builds the PI timeline and keeps it honest when dates move.
What it does
- Generates the task plan for the matter type and fee structure from your firm's templates
- Ties every deadline to a trigger event — incident, filing, service, discovery cutoff — not a fixed date
- Recalculates everything downstream when a trigger moves
- Blocks tasks whose predecessors aren't done and escalates tasks past your overdue threshold
- Marks client-visible milestones so the Client update agent knows when to draft
What it never does
- Pretends to be a court-rules engine. Offsets are yours, configured per firm
- Silently moves a statute-of-limitations date — that change is flagged and logged
Plugs into
Matter type, fee structure, trigger dates, your firm's offset templates
Billing agent
Finds the work nobody recorded before it becomes a write-off.
What it does
- Tracks contingency matters by milestone and hourly or flat matters by time
- Flags completed tasks with no time logged against them
- Flags matters open past 90 days with almost no recorded activity
- Surfaces write-down risk on flat-fee matters and aging on hourly ones, weekly, to partners
- Assembles invoice drafts with the supporting entries attached
What it never does
- Sends an invoice. Every draft waits for a partner's approval
- Edits a time entry on its own
Plugs into
Tasks, time entries, fee structure, matter age
Client update agent
Drafts the update the client was about to call about.
What it does
- Watches for client-visible milestones — records received, demand sent, complaint filed
- Drafts a plain-language update from your firm's template for that milestone
- Puts the draft in front of the responsible attorney or paralegal
- Logs the sent message on the matter record with a timestamp
What it never does
- Sends anything. A person reads, edits and clicks send
- Gives legal advice or characterises the merits of the case
Plugs into
Milestone events from the Deadline agent, your message templates
How the fabric fits your firm
Agents take input from your web form, intake phone notes and forwarded email today. Practice-management sync is scoped with each pilot firm during the demo — we would rather tell you exactly what connects than show you a wall of logos.
Deliberately not built yet
A live court-rules deadline engine, e-signature, payment processing, a client portal, AI drafting of legal documents, and templates for practices outside plaintiff PI. They come once PI firms trust the record.
